Ok so being an Edinburgh based company means that of course we are going to be biased when we say that Edinburgh is the best city in the world but don’t just take our word for it – Edinburgh was recently voted the best places to live and work in the UK!

What to do and see.

Yep you guessed it – Edinburgh Castle is number 1. If you’ve never been then its a must see and it is great value for money.

The Royal Mile – With streets linking Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Hoyroodhouse it is packed full townhouses, historic buildings, shops, restaurants and cafes. A great way to spend the day.

Arthur’s Seat – Stretch your legs with a brisk walk up Arthur’s Seat (822ft). The site of an ancient Volcano (It’s long dormant so no risk of an eruption), it gets it name from the legendary King Arthur..so some people say. The views are second to none and you can take in the whole of Edinburgh.

National Museum Of Scotland. – Opened in 2011 this free Museum is one of Scotland’s most popular attractions. With more than 8000 artifacts there is something to interest everyone.

Princess Street – Lined with gardens, restaurants and shops (including Jenners, the worlds oldest department store) a walk up and down the street is well worth it, you will see some colorful characters along the way and maybe the odd Bag Piper.

Greyfriars Bobby – In the heart of Edinburgh’s old town is where you will find the state of Greyfriars Bobby, the loyal Skye Terrier spent 14 years guarding the grave of his owner. A pull on your heart strings for sure.

If shopping and museums are not for you then why not take in a game of football with Hearts FC and Hibernian FC both calling Edinburgh their home city. Or if you are more of a shopper for interiors for your new flat our house you can browse Edinburgh’s best home interiors companies.

There really is an amazing wealth of things to do and see, the city and surrounding areas are packed full of Restaurants, Bars, Cafe’s (yes, including the one where a certain J.K. Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter Book), gyms, sports clubs etc. So the best thing to do is get out there and explore!
